The FinTech and brokerage business can be tough, so we've always approached it differently - in a more friendly and people-oriented way - while staying professional. After all, we're in a serious business with potentially significant financial impact, we are not just playing around even though we like to play sometimes. We are building long-term relationships, not just with colleagues in the workplace, but also with customers, business partners, and candidates so that they feel welcomed. Being friendly doesn't mean we're all best friends or family, it means we treat each other with a positive attitude, respect, and dignity.

Hiring process

Phone Screen

Our recruiter will give you a quick, friendly call to get to know you a little better. It's a great opportunity for both sides to share relevant information - you'll learn more about the role we're hiring for, our team culture, and what makes Purple.LAB() unique. We'll get to hear more about your background, interests, and what you're looking for in your next career move. This initial conversation helps ensure we're both heading in the right direction.

1st interview

The first interview is a one-hour personal meeting with our recruiter and your future team leader. This friendly conversation helps us get to know each other better. We'll tell you all about our team, company culture, and the role you're interested in. You'll have the chance to share your experiences, what motivates you, and both your successes and lessons learned. The main goal? Making sure there's a great cultural fit on both sides. We believe that strong teams are built on relationships, not just skills.

Case study

Once we've clicked and confirmed we're a great match, we'll send you a take-home project to work on whenever suits you best. It's designed with minimal constraints to give you freedom in how you approach it, allowing you to show us your problem-solving superpowers and how you tackle new tech challenges. We'll look at your coding basics and development practices (like git versioning), but don't worry - there's no single "right" answer! What really excites us is hearing about your thought process and choices when we chat next.

2nd interview

You'll meet with more team members including your potential tech lead to discuss your case study solution and dive deeper into technical topics. While we'll ask about your experience with different technologies and engineering practices, don't worry - there won't be any intense code testing. This relaxed conversation helps us understand how you'd fit into the role and gives you plenty of opportunities to ask questions about the team and work. We're interested in learning about your approach to engineering challenges and seeing how we could grow together.

Offer

Once we've determined you're the perfect fit for our team and your skills match what we're looking for, our recruiter will reach out with an exciting offer call. We'll discuss the comprehensive package, including salary, benefits, and growth opportunities within Purple.LAB(). You'll have time to consider all the details and ask any additional questions you might have. When you're ready to embark on this exciting journey with us, you'll become an integral part of the LAB and Purple, joining a team of passionate technologists who craft amazing solutions together!
